As on every farm an ‘all rounder’ is needed with good common sense and technical skills to handle and manage all repair work and to keep the operation running smoothly. You will be assisted by a team of 9 permanent employed maintenance co-workers and a well-equipped workshop. Depending on existing or new projects and construction works, additional temporary staff can be contracted as necessary. Your duties fall into five specialised fields, which includes installation and maintenance of: Electrics: 220V Power and 12V Solar Vehicle Maintenance: Land Cruiser, 9 Land Rover (Tdi) and 3 Generator-Sets Woodwork: All camps are built from wood and canvas and need regular maintenance, replacements and/or extensions Constructional works: Conventional construction work (supervision of) Road Maintenance: Co-ordination of all grading and maintenance Requirements: - Solid and proven practical knowledge - Leadership and team building skills - An open mind and love of nature - Ability to manage and demonstrate competence in at least three of the above - Mentioned specialised fields, preferably Electrics and Vehicle Maintenance - Ideally you should be physically fit, single and under 45 years old - Be prepared to get involved and get your hands dirty - You must be a Namibian Resident - Solid references As Maintenance Manager you are an integral part of the management team, but as you also have your own team, you will also need to work autonomously. For that reason you report directly to the Managing Director. The work circle is 28 days work, 7 days paid leave.
