Accompanied
by experienced guides, visitors are introduced to the
many facets of NamibRand Nature Reserve's desert habitat
with its diverse fauna and flora - on foot, by car,
or from the air.
The classic programme - that is if you stay for two
nights - would entail an afternoon drive on the day
of arrival, followed by a full day-safari with picnic
lunch en-route. Alternatively you can join one or two
half-day excursions, perfect if you feel like lazing
around for an afternoon, simply admiring the views and
colours which change by the hour. The choice is entirely
yours.
A special attraction at NamibRand is hot-air ballooning.
If a plane is available, scenic flights to the Diamond
Coast and Sossusvlei are undertaken during the late
afternoon.
For hiking enthusiasts a walking trail can be arranged.
Ideally you would stay one night at Wolwedans, then
transfer to DieDuine for a two night trail and then
come back and relax for another afternoon with us at
Wolwedans.
For mountaineers, a two-day hiking trail into the impressive
Losberg Mountain is currently under development. Check
this space for more info. If all goes well, the first
trails could be offered during winter 2008.
Again, you would spend your first night at Wolwedans,
then do the hike, spending a night under the stars on
the mountain and return back to Wolwedans for lunch
and a well deserved afternoon at leisure. |
